Sand was killer. i took some video on my phone since i managed to be front row this night (you could pay extra for a "crash the gate" ticket and be let in 10 minutes before the general public at this venue). it's my favorite version outside of Raleigh '99 Phish. trey really was cranking out some themes.

overall this was a fun show. the band performed well, Devil Went Down to Georgia was a treat, Black Dog was fun. the 2nd set really smoked. i have a nice copy somewhere, i think i might get it out and listen to it again soon. when Phish went on hiatus in 2000, i really started doing Trey shows. i loved the older and more mature crowds, although the Phish festival circus environment was missing. i didn't return to Phish tours until 2010, and this Myrtle Beach show was my last Trey show. it forms a nice bookend along with the '99 Asheville show for me.
